2013 Gibson Island Last Chance
It was a great day of sailing on Saturday with SSW winds building into the twenties and cool sunny skies. After 4 races Longtail skippered by Courtenay Jenkins sat in first place with Quatro and G14 (Arron Maass) hot on her tail as the fleet moored for the evening.
Sunday had West winds at 5-8 kts with John Clinnin getting a bullet in the first race but Qutro gaining on Longtail with a second place finish.
By the third race, the wind was in the high teens and 3 boats had a chance at the title, but Quatro skippered by Tom Lemaire from Newport RI won the day with a 2-3-1 and the Regatta.
All competitors had a great time with 5 different skippers getting a bullet.
Thanks to Mitch Koppelman for these great photos.
